Designed for young children with speech-language and/or occupational therapy needs. Although chronological age is used as a guideline, we also consider the developmental age and needs of the child when determining camp placement.

Our Summer Camp Programs

Little Friends Language and Learning Camp
(Ages 3 – 5)
M-F, 12:30PM – 3:30PM
AT THE KATHERINE THOMAS SCHOOL

Enhance early literacy skills while developing communication, social interaction, and play skills in an exciting and interactive environment! A Speech-Language Pathologist and Special Educator create hands-on, exploratory learning while incorporating summer-themed activities into the camp day. Early learning concepts including language, pre-reading, and math skills are taught in an engaging and interactive manner. Pair with Morning Movers to incorporate OT.

(Ages 3 – 5)
T,W,TH, 11:00AM – 12:00PM (LUNCH AT 12:00PM FOR LITTLE FRIENDS CAMPERS)
AT THE KATHERINE THOMAS SCHOOL

Explore three sensory motor gyms with obstacle courses and movement stations to improve strength, balance, coordination, visual spatial, and motor planning skills. Little Friends Campers pack a lunch for lunch bunch which starts before Little Friends Language and Learning Camp.

Friends Together Camp
(Ages 5 – 7)
M-F, 9:00AM – 12:00PM AND/OR M-F, 12:30PM – 3:30PM
AT THE KATHERINE THOMAS SCHOOL

The focus is on building communication and social-pragmatic language skills as well as addressing areas of sensory processing and motor planning, through interactive summer themes, active play and use of our three sensory gyms. Groups are led each day by BOTH a Speech-Language Pathologist and an Occupational Therapist. Attend either the morning or afternoon session or pack a lunch and stay for a full day with our daily lunch bunch!

Friends Interaction Group
(Ages 2.5 – 5)
9:00AM – 11:30AM AND/OR 1:00PM – 3:30PM
AT TLC’S GAITHER ROAD LOCATION

Your child’s interests are used to increase engagement and improve communication, social interaction, and sensory motor skills. This group may include an Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist, Psychologist, or Licensed Counselor. Call 301-424-5200 x147 for more information.
