At TLC, we seek to understand your child’s unique needs. Our Online Learning Enrichment Classes are led by experienced TLC Tutors. Our tutors are specially-trained in working with students with different learning styles.
We are open to suggestions regarding online learning enrichment classes that are not offered yet, please email us with your suggestion/s

Learning Enrichment Classes: Organization Skills and Strategies for Students
Organization in the Time of Distance Learning: For Middle and High School Students
Description: This one week intensive class, designed for Middle and High School students. will cover topics such as:
- How to tackle your virtual writing and long term assignments
- How to effectively use a calendaring system
- Study skills and test taking strategies
- How to organize and tackle a long term writing assignment

Therapy Groups
Looking to the Future: High School Male Juniors and Seniors
Description: Are you a Junior or Senior in high school who is excited, but at the same time nervous and unsure of the future? You are not alone, as there are many other young adult males who are experiencing the same excitement and anxiety. This is a group for soon-to-be high school graduates to come together in a safe space to collectively process their feelings, discuss any concerns and ask questions related to this transition process with a male licensed clinical social worker/psychology associate. The group will discuss coping skills, peer relationships, isolation, loss of end-of-the-year and graduations celebrations, and their future.

Learning How to Play with Your Child
Description: Join fellow parents, along with a trained clinical psychologist, to explore the importance of play in children’s development. Learn and practice play skills to use when playing with your child. Share your experiences and rediscover the joy of playing with your child.

Description: This is an open group for parents and caregivers to find some reprieve at such a stressful time in our history. Let this be a group where you can share what is working well in your week, where you are struggling, and walk away with new ideas and tips for moving through the rest of your week.

Parents Supporting Parents of Children with Special Needs During COVID-19
Description: Parents of children with special needs spend countless hours advocating for and supporting the needs of their children. During this time of quarantine, parents’ usual supports have been removed, and they are required to be their child’s entire support system. Don’t go it alone! Join your fellow parents, along with a trained clinical psychologist, to discuss ways to support your children during this time.

Description: Calling All Pet Owners! Whether you are a longtime pet owner, or have welcomed a newly adopted furry family member, pets have become our newly minted “emotional support animals” during this time of stress and uncertainty. Join fellow pet owners (with their pets!) to discuss ways we are caring for our pets, and ways our pets are caring for us. Learn how to make the most out of your connection to your furry friend, and how your pet can be a strong source of social support during this time.

Emotional First Aid for Healthcare Providers on the Frontline
Description: Calling All Healthcare Providers! Does your work put you in contact with COVID-19 every day? Are you struggling to manage the health of others, while caring for yourself? Although there will be time later to fully process the emotional toil of your work, it is very important to learn and practice emotional first aid now. Join a clinical psychologist, specialized in traumatic stress, to learn effective coping strategies to bandage your emotional wounds and prevent them from becoming lifelong scars.
