About Us

TLC is committed to promoting an inclusive culture for the organization with a focus on racial equity.

In order to fully accomplish TLC’s mission, we must be aware of and responsive to the needs of all members of the community whom we serve. Our organizational culture will value people of all backgrounds and will foster an environment of respect, transparency, learning, integrity, and honesty. TLC’s commitment to inclusiveness will be evident in our organizational structure, policies, procedures, boards, staff members, volunteers, donors, our organizational goals and vision and the needs of all community members.

Our Vision

To be a highly visible, leading-edge organization with strong collaborative and advocacy relationships and plentiful resources that support quality programs, staff, and facilities for individuals with special needs.

TLC is not affiliated with any national organization and depends in part upon the generosity of the community to provide its services. Services are provided without regard to race, color, spiritual belief, age, sex, language, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, social economic status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.

Who We Serve

We specialize in learning differences, autism, developmental delays, hearing loss, and other problems that may interfere with development, learning, and active participation in the community. We also advocate for the individuals we serve by providing workshops, seminars, and other events. In more than 65 years of dedicated service to the community, we have supported success for tens of thousands of individuals, from infants to grandparents, and their families.
