TLC WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 

Rockville, MD, October 30, 2002 – The Treatment and Learning Centers, a non-profit organization helping children and adults with hearing, speech, language, and learning disabilities and neurological impairments achieve vocational and educational success, today announced that three new members would serve on its board of directors. 

 

William J. McDonald is the Associate Controller for Government Employee Insurance Company (GEICO), GEICO General, GEICO Indemnity, and GEICO Casualty.  As a member of the Maryland Association of CPA’s, he has over 30 years experience in the insurance and finance industry.   Mr. McDonald holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Loch Haven State College and a master’s degree from the University of Maryland and is a C.P.A.

 

Ray Baldwin is an attorney practicing labor and employment law with the law firm of Seyfarth Shaw.  Mr. Baldwin received his JD from the University of Maryland School of Law.  Prior to law school he worked as a management consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick, and served as an Officer in the U.S. Navy.  Mr. Baldwin also has a Master's Degree from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland. 

 

Dr. Froma P. Roth, is a Professor at the University of Maryland, Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences.  As an ASHA certified and Maryland State licensed speech-language pathologist, Dr. Roth’s professional memberships include the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Maryland Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the American Educational Research Association.  Dr. Roth holds a B.A. in Speech Pathology from Hunter College, a M.A. in Speech Pathology from Queens College, and a Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology from City University in New York.
