THREE NEW MEMBERS JOIN TLC'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 

Rockville, MD, September 24, 2003 The Treatment and Learning Centers, a non-profit organization helping children and adults with hearing, speech, language, and learning disabilities and neurological impairments achieve vocational and educational success, today announced that three new members would join its board of directors.

 

Charles Dickerson is the Director of Diversity and Strategic Planning for Pepco Holdings, Inc. In this capacity he is responsible for PHIs diversity efforts by working with each line of business within PHI to ensure that the corporation continues implementation and execution of fair and consistent practices. Previously, he managed Pepcos Customer Operations Division which included its Call Centers, Business Offices, and Quality / Consumer Affairs areas. Mr. Dickerson is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a M.S. in Applied Management. He currently serves as a member of the Energy Consultant Group.

 

Bruce Hunter is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Global eXchange Services, Inc. ("GXS").  GXS is a global provider of electronic commerce software and services and is currently an independent company; prior to October 2002, it was part of the General Electric Company.  Mr. Hunter is responsible for all of GXS's legal and regulatory matters around the world. He has 30 years of experience as in-house corporate counsel, the last sixteen as general counsel to global high technology businesses.  Mr. Hunter is a graduate of St. Lawrence University and the Albany Law School of Union University.

 

Paul Deerin currently serves as a Vice President/Relationship Manager at M&T Bank, working with Montgomery County companies with annual sales in excess of $10 million. He provides advice to customers and potential customers regarding a variety of financial products offered by M&T. Mr. Deerin has been in banking for 18 years, having worked with large multinational public companies as well as small, privately held entities. Paul graduated from Fairfield University with a B.S. in accounting and holds an M.B.A. in finance from The Stern School of Business at New York University. He resides in Brookeville, MD with his wife Kay and their three children.
