Q: What is
TLC?
A: TLC—The Treatment and
Learning Centers, a private non-profit agency located in Rockville,
MD, enables children and adults develop their full potential,
communicate effectively with others, and achieve educational and
vocational success. The TLC family provides services that strengthen
our clients’ abilities and respond to their changing needs. With
more than 58 years of service to the community, TLC is committed to
providing care with integrity and excellence, and assisting all,
regardless of their ability to pay.
Q: Who can benefit
from TLC's services?
A: TLC offers services to
children and adults with a wide range of disabilities, and typically
developing children of all ages.
The Family Hearing Center
Comprehensive
audiological services and hearing aids for
all ages.
The
Outpatient Services
Speech-Language
and Occupational Therapy, evaluation and groups for children
of all ages.
The Testing and Tutoring
Service
Psychoeducational
testing, tutoring and counseling for children
and adults.
The Outcomes Service
Vocational and support
services for adults with disabilities.
Early Learning Centers
Childcare program for the
typically developing infant, toddler, and preschooler, ages six
weeks – 5 years.
TLC's Summer Programs
Summer programs for
children ages 3 – grade 12 who have special needs in the areas of
speech language, perceptual motor, and/or academic development.
The Katherine Thomas
School
Private day school
serving the needs of children preschool through twelfth grade, with
moderate to severe learning and language disabilities and
high-functioning autism.
