HEALTH CLASS -
I hope that if students and parents have questions about health class they can find this page. I know that its not labeled correctly and i am working wtih IT on it but with it being the beginning of the year, there are many things to be done and few people to do them, so please bear with me. CLASSWORK -
We are discussing mental and emotional health in our first unit. We have been talking about what mental and emotional health is and what traits someone with good mental health has. We have been discussing how communication can effect mental health in both negative and positive ways. Also, we have been discussing the different assets that teenagers have available to them to help with health related decisions and how to use them.
HOMEWORK -
Class syllabus needs to be signed
Definitions for emotion, relationship, and communication IN THE STUDENTS OWN WORDS. I dont want Mr. Webster's definitions.
I want them to take the list of 40 developmental assets and pick one that will help with the topic that they chose for thier skit. I gave them this homework on thursday and they were a little confused so I dont need it back until Tuesday (Sept. 8th). If they dont remember the topic they chose for thier skit, send me and email (dhartwigsen@ttlc.org) and I will let you know what their topic was.

9-16 Words that need to be defined are emotion, relationship, communication, stress, perception of stress.
We are still on our mental and emotional health unit. The unit exam will next wednesday and we will be reviewing in class on monday and tuesday (the 21st and 22nd of sept.)
9-22 Again, we will have a unit test tomorrow. We reviewed yesterday, and we will have a practice test today. I will send it home with them tonight to study. Some of the questions will be the same as the actual test but some will change in the specifics, but the concepts will all be the same making it a valuable study tool.
