Welcome to High School Chorus!!!

It is a pleasure to welcome your student to chorus. My name is Amy Gardiner and I am a music teacher and music therapist with over 12 years of experience. The 2009-2010 school year will be my 8th school year as a consultant with KTS. Every year---we keep getting better!
This year we will again combine with middle school chorus to form the “KTS Chorus.” Students will be learning choral literature in preparation for a Winter Concert (Time and Date TBA). In addition to preparing music, high school students will develop sight-singing and music- reading skills on Friday with Mr. Shucker. For the first few weeks, students will be sightreading various pieces of music as we select our pieces for the concert, based on skill level and voicing.
Students will need black pants (or skirts) for the concert as well as black shoes. Please begin acquiring these items. We will once again be using our RED POLO SHIRTS
Chorus is a great opportunity for ALL students to participate and be a part of group, as I always say, “that is greater than one person!” There are no bad singers----only students who don’t try!! We all can sing!!!
