Well, we have to face it, the Summer is officially over.  The school year is off to a great start and I am looking forwarward to a great year of working with your students!

Physics - Since this is a short week, we will continue to familiarize ourselves with laboratory procedures and measurements.

Vocabulary:  SI units, mass, volume, weight, distance, gram, milliliter, cubic centimeter, newton, meter, density, scientific notation.

Tuesday:  Chart on measurement.

Wednesday:  Questions on measurement.

Matter and Energy:  We will continue to familiarize ourselves with laboaratory procedure.  We will use equipment and make various observations of the features that allow us to identify those characteristics that distinguish solids, liquids and gases.

Vocabulary:  SI units, mass, volume, weight, density, solid, liquid, gas, plasma.

Tuesday:  Chart on measurement.

Wednesday:  Questions on the states of matter, solids, liquids, and gases.
