I work at TLC because I passionately believe in the work we do and the families we serve. I live close to TLC and think it is a great privilege to give back to my own community simply by doing my job.




Joy Christy, Outcomes Intake Coordinator
I have been working at TLC's Outcomes since 1996. The impact we have on the people in this community is vital.  Our services have expanded over the years to help more and more people become outstanding members of our community. Individuals I have worked with over the years have progressed far beyond anyone's expectations.  Sharing in their lives is very rewarding.

I work at TLC because I value a multidisciplinary approach to intervention with children and families, and feel that working together with a team of committed individuals can bring the most benefit to the individuals we serve. I value the ability to collaborate and consult with other professionals in the process of conducting evaluations, such that all needs can be identified and addressed.

Probably the biggest reason why I work at TLC is because of the caring, compassionate, and skilled people I work with. People who are dedicated to the families we work with and who make me strive to provide a high quality of care and service.

Working at TLC allows me to grow both personally and professionally. I'm learning and gaining experience on the job. I can even say this after being here for 12 years. The people I work with are great, professional, kind and supportive. For me it’s also about the culture at TLC. There’s a real hunger inside TLC to do things the right way, we have a vision and a mission and we understand it, and it shapes the way we do things – something I’m not sure you get in other organizations.
